The Midtown cycle vault caters for 100 cyclists and is based in an underground car park in Bloomsbury Square, London providing high quality storage, maintenance facilities, toilets and showers for cyclists 24 hours a day.
When Cyclehoop were looking for an epoxy paint which would be long lasting and could cope well with heavy traffic, Watco had the perfect solution for them to make sure the environment for the cyclists was pleasant whilst storing their bicycles. Watco advised them to use Watco Epoxy Gloss Coat, which is an extremely tough and durable floor coating, ideal for the Midtown Cycle Vault!

As the launch date of the vault was fast approaching it was important to Cyclehoop to make the environment look clean and pleasant for the cyclists during their time there, which made Watco Epoxy Gloss Coat the perfect choice for the floor. The epoxy coating provided the Cycle Vault with a mid-gloss finish and a premium look which will withstand the large number of cyclists using the facilities to store and maintain their bicycles.
Epoxy Gloss Coat is virtually odorless which made it a good choice for use in the underground vault. Not only was this the best option for Cyclehoop but it can also be easily applied to existing coatings as well as having excellent resistance to oil, solvents and other cleaning chemicals. This is ideal for the Midtown Cycle Vault where bicycles will be repaired in the maintenance and repair area which may result in the spillage of oil and other chemicals.
Once again Watco has been able to provide a long lasting durable product which stands out from the competition.
Paradise Wildlife Park, situated in Hertfordshire originally contacted Watco for advice on a floor paint suitable for their lion enclosure.

The solution
Watco’s expert advisor’s recommended Chemi-Coat Acid Strength as it is extremely tolerant to chemicals and strong enough to withstand 95% sulphuric acid. An ordinary floor paint would fail, but the chemical resistant properties of Chemi-Coat make it ideal for this type of environment. Chemi-Coat Acid Strength is a virtually solvent free, 100% solids epoxy formula, which means it’s extremely heavy duty and will last for years.
Due to the porosity of the surface the Advisors also recommended they prime the surface using the 4 Hour Epoxy Primer.

Central Flooring Services installed resin floors in Cannock Chase Crematorium (CCC) in Heath Hayes, which is positioned in 12 acres of unspoilt grasslands and woodlands, opened in April 2021.
Central Flooring Services stepped in at a critical point in the project and did a complete re-fit of their resin floors in the Public Hall and Crematorium.
Project
Installing 100m² of resin flooring to the Public Hall and 100m³ Epoxy Coating to the Crematorium. Some crack repairs were also completed.
Product
For the Public Hall Arturo two tone comfort finish/ polyurethane was installed. The product is ideal for the environment – it’s springy underfoot and also decorative and comes in a range of colours.
For the Crematorium Vebro Epoxy EP Coating was installed. The product has excellent resistance to cleaning solvents and other chemicals. It’s low odour and has good wear resistance to medium and heavy-duty foot and rubber wheeled traffic.
Swift Plant made contact with Abacus Flooring Solutions after reading about their project for Walker Movements. Abacus arranged a full survey at Swift Plant premises in Leicestershire.
Their Workshop had recently undergone a major refurbishment programme to include a new roof, offices and toilets all redecorated and the only thing missing was a new resin floor.
Abacus agreed the specification and submitted a quotation and a drawing of the ideas they proposed i.e. layouts and colours.
The existing concrete floors were in a poor state of repair with flaking paint and a lot of oil staining.
All the concrete floors were mechanically prepared using Abacus’s state-of-the-art, remote control, diamond grinders. These are virtually a dust-free system due to the latest in dust extraction whereby all the dust is collected at source and directed into plastic bags which are fully sealed. Not only does this method protect the customer, it also protects the operator.
Once the floor was fully prepared, Abacus carried out localised repairs to the existing concrete. They then applied the first coat and let it cure overnight. Prior to applying the second coat, they inspected the finish and used a fine filler to further increase the final finish.
Abacus then sanded the floor prior to applying the final coat of epoxy coating and allowed to cure. They then marked out and applied the safety demarcation around the inspection pits and the walkway., and included a safety yellow walking person logo to show the nearest fire points. The floor was treated with a slip resistant finish as the floor is a Workshop and will experience a lot of vehicle and foot traffic.
The project was completed over a 3-day period.
The floors are specified after consulting with the client to ensure we answer all their requirements, as per BS8204-6.
Contracted by CCG Homes, the IFT team installed screed at their new Riverford Gardens development in the south side of Glasgow.
The team installed 1350 sqm of 50-100 mm sand and cement screed in the stair cores and landings of the luxury new build apartments, as well as 700 sqm of 60-200 mm screed in the garages.
CCG Homes is developing a mix of 156 luxury homes and apartments on the stunning riverside location. The contemporary city-living homes will be highly energy efficient encouraging long-term energy savings, and are within walking distance of Pollok Country Park.

Our continued, long-standing relationship with a Surfacing company continued with this stunning property in Hertfordshire.
First contacted in June 2018 in regards to installing the beautiful, sweeping driveway, due to delays with the project and our wish to prevent any of the potential issues that can occur when laying Resin Bound Gravel during winter months, our surface dressing application did not take place until July 2019.
The Surfacing company, were tasked with installing the macadam substrate upon which our product would be installed, and five of our operatives then ensured completion of the resin works in a single day in order to prevent a ‘day-join’.
