IFT involved in landmark Glasgow project

IFT was appointed by the main contractors to install the screeds and resin flooring on the Stow College Refurbishment Project.

The works included the application of renovation screed laid unbonded with glass fibre mesh reinforcement. This was chosen as some floors had various historic substrates and this method provided an unbonded option which suited the entire job. This is a fast drying, pump applied, fibre reinforced underlayment for fast track renovation of existing floors prior to application of floor coverings.

This screed was also chosen as it provides an excellent smooth finish for the resin coatings. Once laid and dry, the floors were sanded before vacuuming and applying EPW and over coating with SF41 epoxy paint.

IFT is delighted to have been involved on this landmark Glasgow project.
