IFT install flooring to the new Morpeth Primary School in Northumberland

IFT was subcontracted to install flooring to the new Morpeth Primary School in Northumberland.

The team installed 1638 sqm of 75mm thick Isocrete Fast K-Screed to the ground floor over Kingspan K103 insulation.

The new state-of-the-art school, which is due for completion in September 2019, will replace the 107-year-old Goosehill site. The proposals include the provision of classrooms, including an outdoor one on the roof, and other facilities such as a main hall, studio, staff rooms, offices, kitchen, toilets, multi-use games area and parking. It will also provide a community space at ground-floor level, accessible outside of school hours and available to the public for events.
