Resin Flooring For CAMHS Facility

Central Flooring Services was approached by Tilbury Douglas Construction – a leading building, infrastructure, engineering and fit out company in the UK, to install resin flooring to an area within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), which is part of a new build within Leeds NHS.

It was important to create the right atmosphere to help the people using these rooms to relax and remain calm. That’s why soft colours were chosen. The floor is decorative but hard-wearing.

The Central Flooring team has worked alongside Tilbury Douglas for five years, on various epoxy resin flooring projects.

Project

Installing 60m² of wall detail and 30m² of floor, along with 35 linear metres of coving.

Altro Quartz 4mm screed with a decorative mosaic flake.

Preparation

The concrete surface needed levelling and smoothing, so we buffed away any inconsistencies to the surface and edges with mechanical diamond grinding (MDG) and mechanical sand.

Project duration

From start to finish, the work took 10 days – including an additional overlay to the walls, which was extra to the original project specification.
