SIKA’S INNOVATIVE PU FLOOR COATING NAMED AS FINALIST IN PRIZED INDUSTRY AWARDS

Sika ComfortFloor® Marble FX, a high-performance, polyurethane, self-serving, UV-resistant, marble effect flooring system, has been shortlisted for a prized industry award.
The innovative PU coating, which produces a fine marble-like design as part of its hard-wearing, smooth, low-maintenance surface finish, is among the finalists in this year’s Tomorrow’s Contract Floors Awards. The contest celebrates the most innovative products and services in the flooring industry. A public vote is now open until March 2021 to decide the award’s overall winner.
Bill Woodham at Sika Flooring, said: “I’m delighted with this nomination. Sika Comfortfloor® Marble FX is a genuinely innovative addition to the flooring market. We’re proud of it, and its final placing in the Tomorrow’s Contract Floors Awards suggests the judges of this revered contest are equally as impressed with its capability.”
Sika ComfortFloor® Marble FX is further evidence of Sika’s success in creating PU coating solutions which look as good as they perform. For internal use only, its marble-like design is achieved through a newly-developed colouring method of the base material – Sikafloor®-3000 FX, resulting in a surface that meets the highest standards of comfort and resistance with exceptional style.
With a spectrum of colour shades to suit whichever visual effect is required for a particular commercial environment, Sika ComfortFloor® Marble FX meets the strictest emission requirements of various green labels. This helps protects the flooring’s installers and the building’s future occupants in terms of ecology, health and safety.
Bill continued: “Sika ComfortFloor® Marble FX increases the opportunity for businesses to install hygienic and seamless surfaces which enhance their brand and their building’s character, as well as creates a comfortable, clean and safe environment for staff and customers. Its development is testament to our technical teams’ commitment to raising the standards of commercial flooring.”
