Resin 16 apprentices practice their techniques at Resdev
The 16th group of resin flooring apprentices spent three days as Resdev’s training facility in Elland this month practicing the application of screeds and coving.
The apprentices had plenty of practical hands-on experience and the group thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to apply quartz materials and gain practice on their trowel work to take those skills into the workplace.
On the final day, FeRFA trainer, Terry Foxley gave the learners a review of the course as a whole and guidance on the next steps in the apprentices’ progress towards achieving their NVQ level 2 Diplomas.
Boud Minerals kindly supplied the quartz mix for the Resdev screed – all of which was donated free of charge. The apprentices were able to perfect their techniques in screeding and coving working on purpose built wooden frames.
The apprentices in Resin group 16 are: Daniel McLaughlin and Jordan Speed (4m Floors UK), Matthew Marvin and Adam Moore (Central Flooring), Danny Malone (Coatech Ltd), Jack Findlay (Genco Construction), Jason Earl and Jake Ross (IRL Group Ltd)
