Key Appointments Strengthen Flooring Specialist

Conica Ltd, the Newark-based international sports, play and functional flooring specialist, has added to its growing team with two new sales appointments.

Paul Maidment has joined the company as Chief Sales Officer. As the company’s new CSO, he will focus on generating additional revenue through a shift in focus to the company’s functional flooring range.

“CONICA isn’t a business that needs fixing, it’s one that requires additional revenue and a renewed focus,” explains Paul. “I’ve joined a market-leading organisation with exceptional levels of customer service.

“We see the opportunity to develop business further with our functional flooring range as showcased in Switzerland. By promoting the range in the UK, focusing on recruiting new partners and a specialist external sales team, we could boost business hugely.”

Paul has held senior positions for a large number of high profile building materials companies including Saint Gobain, SIG plc and Lafarge. His expertise will help in promoting CONICA’s range of flooring systems to the building sector.

Also joining the CONICA team is Michael Davis, as the new Business Development Manager. Michael has worked in the sports construction industry since 2001, primarily with pitch contractors and sports floodlighting, notably as National Sales and Marketing Manager for McArdle Sport Tec, and has a wealth of expertise in the field.

“I have an awful lot of industry contacts,” he enthuses. “And my main role with CONICA is to essentially expand our portfolio and make sure that key pitch contractors are aware of the depth and breadth of our sports flooring range.”
