Sika launches new flooring products at demonstration days

Sika, leaders in the development of innovative flooring systems, invited contractors to get to grips with its latest high-performing products at two hands on launch events.

The open days saw more than 50 contractors from across the country take in a range of product demonstrations, ensuring they had an in-depth understanding of how they work and the benefits they bring.

Visitors to the northern launch, held at Sika House, Preston, were shown Sika’s new PurCem Gloss systems, which deliver highly durable, aesthetics and easy to keep clean floors, as well as the latest addition to the extensive Sika cementitious range, SikaScreed P-24, which offers remarkable drying times, being overcoatable with all flooring types within just 24 hours. So spectacular is its rapid-set quality, SikaScreed P-24 can carry pedestrian traffic in just three hours at 20°C.

Sika’s newest Cementitious Level products were also showcased. The -100, -300, -300 Rapid and -400 Level offerings are all one part, polymer modified, pumpable self levelling fast hardening cementitous underlayment used for the levelling and smoothing of interior floors, primarily commercial, residential and domestic properties.

Contractors at the southern launch, held at Sika Gardens, Reading, were also given a demonstration of Sika ComfortFloor® 3000, a new substrate within the Sika ComfortFloor® Decorative range. Tough, durable and seamless, ComfortFloor® 3000 is easy to clean and low maintenance and the ideal flooring solution for hospitals, schools, retail, leisure, offices, entrance halls, lobbies, museums as well as residential use.

Sarah James, Marketing Manager, Flooring, at Sika, said: “The open days gave us the opportunity to show contractors precisely how our new products work, explain how they will benefit from using them – from exceptional drying times to fantastic finishes and market-leading durability – and answer any questions they may have. “Feedback has been really positive so it’s something we’ll definitely look to repeat with forthcoming product launches.”
