On-site Assessment and Training (OSAT) is a fast and easy way to get your experienced workers a qualification and there are grants to go towards the cost of obtaining an NVQ and a skilled worker CSCS card.  Your FeRFA approved assessor will assist you in putting together a planned programme of training and assessment for each candidate which will meet the ConstructionSkills’ Skillsmatch requirements.

The following grant funding is only available to companies who pay the CITB levy. From August 2014 eligible candidates registered with a FeRFA approved assessor for the NVQ Diploma Level 2 (either Resin Flooring or Surface Preparation) can claim the following rates apply:

Grant year August 2015 to July 2016

On NVQ Level 2 or above achievement

claim form should be sent to you *

Plus potential supplement of 10% if CITB levy paid on time

Conditions apply **

Total Grant plus supplement

* If not please go to this link for England and Wales or this for Scotland to download the form.
** Payments of grants will only be made if all outstanding levy assessments are paid in full or a direct debit agreement is in place.

What does this mean to you as an employer?

All those companies in scope to CITB will continue to receive OSAT grant noted above, additional funding to cover the whole cost of assessment is not currently available. As soon as the position changes the information on this page will be updated.

(FeRFA does have some access to limited funding from time to time - please contact FeRFA for further information.)

For companies who do not pay the levy, an individual quote will be given by the FeRFA assessor.

All successful candidates are awarded a FeRFA ID badge and certificate.

The maximum number of VQ qualifications for which an individual will be eligible to claim grant support will be limited to two VQs at each level, per lifetime. VQ achievement grants which have already been paid to support an individual's training will be included within this limit.
