GRANT FUNDING  

On-site Assessment and Training (OSAT) is a fast and easy way to get your experienced workers a qualification and there are grants to go towards the cost of obtaining an NVQ and a skilled worker CSCS card.  Your FeRFA approved assessor will assist you in putting together a planned programme of training and assessment for each candidate which will meet the ConstructionSkills’ Skillsmatch requirements.

The following grant funding is only available to companies who pay the CITB levy. From August 2011 eligible candidates registered with a FeRFA approved assessor for the NVQ Diploma Level 2 (either Resin Flooring or Surface Preparation) can claim the following rates apply:

What does this mean to you as an employer?

All those companies in scope to CITB will continue to receive OSAT grant noted above, additional funding to cover the whole cost of assessment is not currently available. As soon as the position changes the information on this page will be updated.

(FeRFA does have some access to limited funding from time to time - please contact FeRFA for further information.)

For companies who do not pay the levy, an individual quote will be given by the FeRFA assessor.

All successful candidates are awarded a FeRFA ID badge and certificate.

The maximum number of VQ qualifications for which an individual will be eligible to claim grant support will be limited to two VQs at each level, per lifetime. VQ achievement grants which have already been paid to support an individual's training will be included within this limit.

How to register candidates

Simply phone FeRFA on 01252 714250 with the following detail:

  • Name of candidates
  • Age of candidates
  • Experience of candidates (e.g. any previous qualifications)

2010/2011 GRANTS SCHEME - important dates

The closing date for claims to be received for payment within the 2010/2011 Grants Scheme is the 31st October 2011, unless otherwise stated within the Grants Scheme rules for an individual grant.

2010/2011 claims received after 31st October 2011 will be rejected.
CITB-ConstructionSkills will not pay claims received for training carried out after 31 July 2011 until the next grant year.
