In situations where more detailed advice or investigation is necessary, the enquirer may consider engaging the services of an independent consultant. FeRFA maintains a list of independent consultants who are known to have particular knowledge of resin flooring. However it may be beneficial to speak to FeRFA before doing so at it does operate a complaints procedure where a member contractor or manufacturer is involved.

FeRFA members are dedicated to meeting the latest health and safety requirements for the manufacture and use of resin floors. All manufacturers are obliged to maintain up-to-date health and safety information as required by statute and by FeRFA's Codes of Practice. Contractor members are expected to comply with all legislation on the use of resins and to maintain strict safety procedures, risk assessment capabilities and to maintain strict health and safety procedures, risk assessment, capabilities, as per the FeRFA Code of Practice.
