'Maggie's' the Royal Oldham Hospital is one of 19 specially designed centres for people affected by cancer.
The late Charles Jencks formed 'Maggie's' cancer charity after visiting his wife 'Maggie Keswick Jencks' while she was dying from cancer. Jenks and his wife were so appalled by the sterile hospice conditions, that they set up the charity. The main aim of the charity is to provide non-clinical environments where anyone who is affected by cancer can stop by for support and advice. The design and aesthetic appearance were very important factors for the chosen flooring system at this special patent centre. Noise suppression, comfort underfoot and a colour to reflect non direct sunlight into the building were key requirements, all met by Altro Flexi Flow resin flooring system.
