Stoke City Football Club's worn-out stadium concourse is in the premier league now thanks to Flowcrete and 4m Europe SA.
Following an initial test area at Stoke City's stadium, the high performance, solvent free and ultra chemical resistant epoxy resin floor coating, Flowcoat SF41 was chosen by club to rejuvenate its tired stadium concourse. 4m Europe SA laid Flowcoat SF41 composite in Goosewing Grey spread throughout the stadium's 4000m2 of concourse areas and toilets with the walkways to the inner arena laid in a dark grey shade. 100m2 of green Flowcoat SF41 system was marked out as a mini football pitch, complete with white line demarcation in the arena's brand new 'Kid’s Zone'. The club emblem was also incorporated into the flooring using a stencil to paint on the crest in red, white and blue. The transparent sealer, Flowbind LS, guards against corrosion from the array of sauces and liquids on offer. The iconic stadium is close to Flowcrete's Sandbach headquarters thus reducing the carbon footprint with all the materials being locally sourced and delivered using reusable plastic containers too. The slip-resistant finish not only deals with the heavy footfall at the club, it has also The Potters' insurance premium by 30% courtesy of the hardwearing, hygienic, seamless system’s enhanced safety properties. The complete building transformation that was achieved during the summer was incredibly difficult due to crossover construction on site, with other trades going about their work, but careful planning ensured a smooth handover.
