From Fizzy Drinks to Furniture

Reprotec Uk has transformed a redundant drinks factory into an office furniture manufacturing facility.

Reprotec UK Limited were asked to submit a project plan which would involve the transformation of a redundant drinks factory into an office furniture manufacturing facility. The existing floors were made up of polyurethane screeds, high build coatings and eroded concrete. The clients requirements were for the colour to be of a uniform finish throughout which involved using many types of floor preparation prior to commencing the making good of the floor. Once the floor was prepared and repaired 2500kgs of Altroshield SF were mixed and applied. Once cured, pedestrian safety walkways in green with safety yellow demarcation lines were added as well as an anti-slip aggregate to the Goods-In as a safety precaution as the Forklift Trucks would be operating in and out of the warehouse. Once the floor was fully cured, this allowed the racking contractor to commence his installation. The client is extremely pleased with the finished floor and in his words, “He made the correct choice when he selected Reprotec.” This project proves that, with the correct planning, we can look after the environment by using a sustainable floor coating and proudly diverting 2150kgs of waste from landfill. Reprotec have diverted in excess of 50 tonnes from landfill in the past 11 months, a figure that we proudly boast. The Altroshield has post consumer recyclates within the product which again saves on waste.
